The Republic of Cyprus has condemned once again unequivocally the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and has called for the withdrawal of Russian troops from the country, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the beginning of the invasion.
Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, said in a post on Twitter that "February 24th marks the dark anniversary of the unprovoked attack against an independent country from another."
"We unequivocally condemn the Russian invasion and call with all the other free countries on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine," Anastasiades added.
