Apostolos Tomaras
Cyprus and Greece have agreed to work together to evacuate their citizens from Ukraine. Most of these citizens live permanently in the western part of the country.
In an agreement with the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 20 Cypriots will be included in the evacuation process.
According to Kathimerini's sources, the Foreign Minister in Nicosia and his Greek counterpart have agreed that if and when Greece evacuates its citizens, it will include the 20 Cypriot citizens who have yet to leave the country. According to diplomatic sources, the 20 people have not asked for assistance to leave Ukraine but are in contact with the diplomatic mission of Cyprus in Kiev.
Their evacuation, if requested, will be done either by land or by sea.
