An allegation of dog abuse was reported to our website and shared on social media.
According to the complaint, the dog's owner left it in a deplorable condition without food, leading the dog to eat pieces of wood found nearby to ease its hunger. A photo clearly shows the emaciated state of the unfortunate animal.
A volunteer, who became aware of the situation, removed the dog from the premises. The complaint also mentions that the owner has two other dogs, whose health conditions are currently unknown.
The dog that resorted to eating wood is now fighting for its life.
