The Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organization (CAPO) has disbursed over 5 million euros to beneficiaries under Action A.A. 1.4 - Organic Plant Production of Cyprus' Strategic CAP Plan for the 2023-2027 programming period.

According to CAPO's announcement, this initiative aims to incentivize organic plant production by providing financial support to farmers voluntarily adopting or maintaining organic farming practices as defined by Regulation (EU) 2018/848.

A total of 5,220,753 euros was paid out to beneficiaries, with 80% of the funding sourced from European funds and 20% from national funds. This effort underscores Cyprus' commitment to promoting sustainable agricultural practices and supporting its farming community through targeted financial assistance.
