And now the weather forecast:
A seasonal low-pressure system is bringing us some seriously warm weather.
It's mostly clear skies today, with a bit of cloud cover around midday and early afternoon to give you some brief relief. Winds will start out mainly from the southeast to southwest, light at 3 Beaufort, then shift southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally on the southern coast up to a breezy 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and locally choppy – perfect for a refreshing dip! Temperatures will peak at a scorching 40 degrees Celsius inland, while the west coast will be cooler at 32 degrees, around 34 degrees on the other coasts, and 33 degrees in the higher mountains.
Expect a mostly clear night, ideal for some stargazing. Early morning might bring some thin fog and low clouds. Winds will be mainly northwest to northeast, light and occasionally moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will remain a bit rough and locally choppy. Temperatures will drop to a more comfortable 23 degrees Celsius inland and along the coast, and down to 20 degrees in the higher mountains.
Intermittent local clouds will pop up over the weekend, possibly bringing isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and inland during the afternoon. By Monday, we'll see clear skies returning.
Temperatures will dip to near or slightly above average on Saturday but will start to climb again by Monday.
While it's going to be hot, it's the perfect excuse to hit the beach! Cool off in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, relax under an umbrella, and enjoy the summer vibes. Stay hydrated, and don't forget your sunscreen!
