A forward playing with AEL Limassol was pulled out of wreckage on Tuesday after his vehicle crashed into a car dealership, injuring an employee who was inside.

According to local media, 23-year-old footballer Ryan Mmaee got involved in an accident Tuesday night just before 9pm when his SUV crashed through glass into a car dealership.

The Belgian-born Moroccan forward was driving northbound when another vehicle emerged from a side road and crashed into the SUV, forcing it to go left

Mmaee, a Belgian-born Moroccan forward who plays for AEL, reportedly said he was driving northbound on Griva Digeni when another vehicle emerged from a side road and crashed into the SUV.

Police told Knews that a car driven by a 69-year-old male collided with the footballer’s vehicle under circumstances still pending investigation, with the SUV turning left after impact and crashing into a rental car dealership where an employee inside was injured.

The condition of the 46-year-old security guard, who was rushed to the Emergency Room at Limassol General Hospital, was described as critical after sustaining multiple fractures.

Mmaee had to be extricated from the SUV by emergency rescuers, reports said, while both motorists visited the emergency room but were reportedly unharmed.
