Nicosia operation nets 11 arrests in illegal residence crackdown

The 11 individuals will be immediately repatriated


In a coordinated operation aimed at combating illegal residence within the Republic of Cyprus, police arrested 11 individuals in the Nicosia district. The operation, led by members of the Aliens and Immigration Service, targeted foreigners found to be illegally staying in the country.

Following the arrests, immediate repatriation procedures for the 11 individuals have been set in motion. The joint efforts of the Police and the Aliens and Immigration Service persist as they work towards maximizing the number of returns in ongoing initiatives to address illegal residence within the Republic.
