Since the enforcement of the crowd ban decree by the Health Minister last week, police have conducted a sum of 1,390 checks and filed three reports against cases where they found over 75 people gathered under one roof.

The three reports were filed against premises in Limassol, Nicosia, and Famagusta which were in violation of the decree.

The decree banning all indoor gatherings of over 75 people had come into force on March 11 in a bid to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The decree will remain in effect until March 31.
