According to local media, 28 undocumented migrants including nine minors, were rescued Thursday morning by coast guard officers who escorted them to shore.

The presumptive refugees arrived at the Agios Nicolaos fishing harbour in the Golden Coast area of Protaras just before 10am.

There were no reports of any medical issues while it was expected that the refugees would be processed at a local police station and then head on to a reception facility.
