The pre-trial council is expected to decide today whether Eva Kaili will be released under strict conditions or remain in custody.

Ms. Kaili's lawyers spoke of medieval detention conditions and a violation of human rights shortly before the decision was made public. Mr. Dimitrakopoulos and Mr. Rizopoulos emphasized that their client had been detained in solitary confinement for several hours. At the same time, Ms. Kaili mentioned in her apology that she has a 22-month-old child who cannot be left alone because she only sees him once a month.

In terms of her defense, she emphasized that there cannot be two measures and two weights, pointing out that other MEPs are free and preparing their defense while she is imprisoned.

It should be noted that Mr. Dimitrakopoulos stated that he is not optimistic about the case's outcome.

"Panzeri is ready to tell the whole truth," says his lawyer. Antonio Panzeri's Belgian lawyer, Marc Uttal, referred to his client's decision to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with Brussels prosecutors in a statement yesterday to the Italian news agency Ansa.

"Antonio Panzeri is willing to tell the whole truth in order to help the investigations succeed. In a state of genuine psychological shock, he signed the cooperation agreement with the Belgian Federal Prosecutor's Office "said the lawyer for the former Italian MEP.

"He is available to the investigators 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer their questions. He hopes that nothing bad happens to his wife or daughter", says Uttal.
