Police investigate fatal stabbing of a woman in rural Nicosia, looking for her car passenger

A local woman has been found stabbed to death inside her vehicle in rural Nicosia, with police searching for her passenger who fled the scene.

According to police, a 56-year-old Greek Cypriot woman was found dead on Monday in her car at Oikos Marathasas Village, Nicosia district.
The victim had multiple knife wounds in the neck and other parts of her body.
Investigators are also evaluating information that a person of interest, possibly a passenger inside the woman’s vehicle, fled the scene on foot.
Cops are searching the area.
