Police are investigating allegations of gang rape, following a complaint filed by a female tourist in Ayia Napa.

According to local media, a 19-year-old old British woman filed a complaint with police on Wednesday morning saying she was gang raped by twelve men, all described as Israeli nationals.
According to Kathimerini Cyprus, the woman is from the United Kingdom and told investigators she was raped overnight at a local hotel in Ayia Napa.
Police said they were investigating the allegations but no further information was immediately available. The suspects initially were wanted for questioning while reports later said they all got arrested.
The rape accuser was scheduled to be examined by a medical doctor.
