US CENTCOM said on Monday that its personnel continued to support the delivery of humanitarian assistance into Gaza.

In a post on “X”, CENTCOM said its personnel continued to support USAID in the delivery of humanitarian assistance into Gaza. The Command released photos showing trucks carrying humanitarian assistance, it said, to shore, through a floating pier that was recently installed to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid from ship to shore by truck.

This corridor, it said in another announcement, was a multinational and combined effort led by USAID and the US Department of Defense, alongside the Republic of Cyprus, the United Nations, and international donors, including the UAE, the United Kingdom, Romania, and the European Union.

The delivery of humanitarian aid through the floating pier started on Friday, CENTCOM had announced at the time.

Humanitarian aid to Gaza by sea is delivered through the port of Larnaca, Cyprus, under the “Amalthea” plan, an initiative of the Republic of Cyprus implemented in cooperation with other states and international organizations.
