In a post on social media, the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community confirmed that he has COVID-19.
"Following nasal congestion and flu symptoms, I have learned that the PCR test [which I underwent] is positive," said Ersin Tatar.
"I am in good condition. "I want to convey [the information], to my precious people, that I was isolated," added Tatar.
Mr. Tatar then called for compliance with the covid measures and to participate in the vaccination campaign. He also thanked those who wished him well.
