Three male teens are in custody after a high school student in Limassol told police she was raped last year, with the boys denying the allegations and saying sexual intercourse was consensual.
According to local media, two 17-year-old students were ordered in remanded custody for four days on Thursday, following accusations from a 15-year-old girl who said she was raped back in 2020 after being given narcotics.
The four of them drove to a remote area in Limassol where they got high, with the two 17-year-olds removing her clothes and forcing her to sit on the 19-year-old male
A 19-year-old male was previously arrested in connection with the case, with reports saying he had arranged to meet with the girl. Local media reported that he picked her up in his car for a ride while two other males were in the vehicle.
According to the girl’s statement to police, the four of them drove to a remote area in Limassol where they got high, with the two 17-year-olds removing her clothes and forcing her to sit on the 19-year-old male, who engaged in intercourse with the 15-year-old female.
She also told police investigators that the other two, who were filming the sex act, then both “took turns” to rape her.
The two 17-year-olds, who gave depositions to police in the presence of their parents, accused the girl of lying. They also denied the rape allegations and argued that sex was consensual.
Local media said the 19-year-old male, who was remanded for six days, was reportedly having an affair with the girl.
