Highs of 36°C in store for Cyprus

Partly cloudy skies await Thursday through Saturday

Newsroom

Today, we're dealing with a bit of a weather cocktail, low pressure and warm air masses are calling the shots. Plus, there's some dust hanging around, making occasional appearances in the atmosphere.

Now, let's dive into the details. Expect intermittent cloud cover throughout the day, mostly from high clouds. Winds will be dancing around from the northeast to the southeast, gentle to moderate, hitting about 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale. In some western and northern pockets, they might even crank it up a notch, reaching strong, around 5 on the Beaufort scale. Seas will be a bit restless, too.

Temperature-wise, brace yourselves for a toasty one! We're looking at a high of 36 degrees Celsius inland, around 32 degrees up north and on the western coast, hovering near 30 degrees along the eastern and southern shores, and chilling at 29 degrees in the higher mountain regions.

As night falls, expect more of the same, with occasional clouds floating by, driven by those gentle to locally moderate breezes. Seas will keep their mild restlessness. Temperatures will dip down to 17 degrees Celsius inland and around 19 degrees along the coastlines and up in the mountains.

Heading into Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, mostly courtesy of medium and high clouds.

Temperatures will hold steady on Thursday, well above the usual averages. Come Friday, expect a slight dip, and Saturday will maintain those levels.
