According to European Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides, 80% of the adult population in the EU has been vaccinated, which is an important milestone in its COVID vaccination program.
"Another milestone of COVID-19 vaccination has been achieved," said Ms. Kyriakided in a post on Twitter. "80% of adults in the European Union have been fully vaccinated. "Our efforts must continue to keep each other safe."
"The message is clear. Get vaccinated and take your boosters. They offer the best protection against the most serious effects of the virus." she stressed.
