A single Joker ticket purchased in the village of Pano Deftera in the Nicosia district has turned into a life-changing win of €11,653,128.87 following Sunday night’s draw on 17 May 2026.
The winning ticket was the only one to land in the first category (5+1), according to the official results, making its holder the sole winner of the multi-million-euro jackpot.
The winning numbers drawn were 40, 36, 5, 32, 33, with Joker number 8.
Lottery officials said the ticket was submitted at a local betting agency in Pano Deftera, specifically at LUCKY FOX LTD on Archbishop Makarios G 139. The winning entry was selected through the standard random process used in the draw.
While the identity of the winner has not been made public, the location of the ticket purchase has already made the small village a point of attention across Cyprus, as residents speculate who the lucky player might be.
The draw was the 3,067th Joker game, operated under Allwyn and OPAP, which holds regular draws every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 10 p.m.
According to the official rules, the jackpot for the next draw on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, will restart at a minimum of €1 million for the first category.
For now, however, Pano Deftera holds the spotlight, and one anonymous ticket holder is suddenly €11.6 million richer.
