U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken extends best wishes to Cyprus on its 63rd Independence Day, expressing America's commitment to a united Cyprus.

"On behalf of the United States of America, I send our heartfelt congratulations to the Republic of Cyprus as it marks its 63rd year of independence. I'm inspired by the potential of a reunified Cyprus for its people and the Eastern Mediterranean region," stated Blinken.

He emphasized the U.S.'s unwavering dedication to a comprehensive Cyprus-led resolution, under UN facilitation, for a united island as a bizonal, bicommunal federation, ensuring political equality for all Cypriots.

Blinken stressed the strong partnership between the Republic of Cyprus and the United States in pursuing global peace, prosperity, and shared values of democracy and freedom.

"Our nations' ties are stronger than ever, and we eagerly anticipate further collaboration between our governments and our citizens," he remarked.

Blinken conveyed the United States' belief in the resilience of the Cypriot people and pledged unwavering support.

"I extend warm greetings and best wishes for another year of deepening friendship and cooperation with the Republic of Cyprus," concluded Mr. Blinken.
