Authorities suspect an elderly male hunter who died Wednesday in rural Nicosia suffered a heart attack

An elderly man was found dead in rural Nicosia on Wednesday morning, with preliminary findings pointing to health issues as a possible cause.
According to police, a man over 70 was spotted unconscious around 6am in Nicosia district, near Meniko village. He was taken to Nicosia General Hospital where doctors on duty pronounced him dead on arrival.
Reports said the senior citizen was a hunter while there were no signs of external injuries. Police suspect his health condition as a possible cause of death.
No information had surfaced regarding any accident in the area.
