No new coronavirus cases emerged on Wednesday, when a bulk of 2,640 samples were checked for the virus.
Total known coronavirus cases in the Republic of Cyprus remained at 939. So far, 17 have died of the virus, while 594 have recovered.
By 3pm on Wednesday, five coronavirus carriers were being treated at the Famagusta General Hospital, one of which was in the ICU. One coronavirus patient was discharged from the Famagusta hospital on Wednesday.
Three more coronavirus patients are being treated in the Nicosia General Hospital ICU.
