Storm damages businesses along Paphos seafront

Short-lived tempest hits Poseidon Avenue establishments

Newsroom / CNA

Businesses along Paphos' Poseidon Avenue seafront incurred damage during Monday's brief storm.

Angelos Onisiforou, President of the Paphos Leisure Centre Owners Association, reported to CNA that multiple shop owners along the seafront experienced damage. The short-lived storm caused harm to the awnings, umbrellas, and table seating of their establishments.

This area is home to various businesses, including restaurants, souvenir shops, and cafe kiosks.

Onisiforou emphasized that "we were all unprepared for something like this" and advised his fellow business owners to close their umbrellas when shutting down their businesses at night.

Simultaneously, crews have initiated the task of relocating all the damaged items.
